CofounderOS (CofounderOS LLC, referred to as "we", "us", or "CofounderOS") provides an AI operating system designed for solo founders. This policy applies to your use of the product, the website, and related services.

We collect the information you provide directly, the content you create, and information generated automatically as you use the product.

Account information

Email address, password (hashed), display name, and account preferences you set during signup or in account settings.

Startup and workspace content

Content you create inside CofounderOS, including Startup Brain entries, decisions, roadmap items, weekly reviews, investor update drafts, and founder notes. This content is scoped to your account and protected with row-level security.

Product usage information

Logs of how you interact with the product (page views, feature usage, error reports) used to improve reliability, performance, and the product itself.

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand product usage. See our Cookie Policy for details and choices.

We send transactional emails (account, security, product notifications) and, only with your explicit consent, occasional founder operating notes. You can manage what you receive any time on your Email Preferences page or via the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.

Marketing consent is opt-in. We will not subscribe you without an explicit, unchecked checkbox.

• To operate, maintain, and improve CofounderOS.
• To support founder workflows that depend on persistent context (Startup Brain, decisions, weekly reviews).
• To send service messages and, with consent, founder updates.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
• To meet legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with the limited categories of recipients required to run the service:

• Infrastructure and hosting providers under data-processing terms.
• Email delivery providers for transactional and (with consent) marketing email.
• Authentication and security providers.
• Legal authorities where required by law.

We retain account and workspace content for as long as your account is active. You may delete content from inside the product or request account deletion by emailing legal@cofounderos.com. Backups and logs are retained for a limited period for security and operational reasons.

• Access and update your account information in settings.
• Manage email preferences on the Email Preferences page.
• Unsubscribe from marketing email at any time via the Unsubscribe page.
• Request data export or deletion from legal@cofounderos.com.

CofounderOS uses authentication, transport encryption, and row-level security to protect workspace content. No system is perfectly secure. Please use a strong, unique password and avoid entering sensitive personal data (e.g. government identifiers, health data) into the product unless strictly necessary for your workflow.

CofounderOS may be accessed globally. If you are located in the EEA, UK, or California, you have rights under applicable data protection laws (including GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA). Contact legal@cofounderos.com to exercise these rights.

CofounderOS is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact legal@cofounderos.com and we will take appropriate action.

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced via in-product notice or email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
